Hi,

He shoots all this red stuff and it kills me really, really fast, what is it so I can find some rings to protect myself from it.

Red reminds me of blood....
So i think it can be vitality damage. Maybe you can try to play with more resistance and see if it helps?

Another option is to learn the animation and try to dodge it. I don't know these things I just lay traps and run in circles
