I just finished playing Dungeon Siege 2.....I then installed Dungeon Siege 2 Broken World....During installation I had an error message...

CRC error: the file C:\Program Files\2K Games\Dungeon Siege 2 Broken World\maps\xDS2XWorld.ds2map doesn't match the file in the setup's .cab file. the medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor

I clicked on retry five times and the message still pops up, so I clicked on ignore and the installation completed..i start the expansion, everything starts up well...Now I have 2 problems...when I try to import my character from the original Dungeon Siege 2, it doesn't work...then I make a new character..when I get to the select difficulty screen with the 3 levels...when I try to click on amateur the lowest level, it tells me that I need to complete Dungeon Siege 2 on amateur level first before I can play the game. I have already completed Dungeon Siege 2 and I still have it installed on my computer..It's so annoying, i'm on the verge of deleting both Dungeon Siege 2 & the expansion from my computer...Please can someone help me. Is there a way I can fix this or is there some sort of cheat or trainer that can enable me activate the difficulty settings in Dungeon Siege 2 Broken World? I've been searching allover the Internet for an answer for two days and no luck. Thanks

How to play Broken World at Higher Levels

Broken World contains both ds II and BW. If you want to play the same character use BW only. It can't import unless you downloaded the dsII toolkiit, but still your restricted from playing across games.
