TQVault Question....

Hi...Before I installed Immortal Thrown (just recently) I had trouble with TQVault deleting my characters. I think it is because I did not patch each and every character. Anyway, that is not my question.

Is it true that with TQ-IT you do not need to patch the game/characters because there is no longer a "character check" for integrity by the game?

I'm asking because I would like more storage space but hate the idea of patching and backing up. I rather not take the chance if I have to mess with that stuff.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

For the earlier versions of Titanquestvault you needed a program to be running called titanquestmod?? I think in order to access each character then henceforth you could access again. Each time you used vault you had to run mod and open the char to make them legit.

The newer version does not require this. You have to have IT though I think. I downloaded it by following links titanquest.net. Search posts by Batman with vault in them in order of latest first.

Thank you for the response Claudius. I am so paranoid about messing up my chars again I just wanted some confirmation that I can use this program safely.

I am not finding the program that route...is the following link at IGN a good source?

TQVault 2.11 -- Titan Quest: Immortal Throne Vault

Thanks again!

If it was designed by Batman on titanquest.net then I can confirm it works. If not then you'll have to experiment. Make a level 2 char with a yellow axe and see if he gets "axed" by the program...

HEHE good idea. Thanks :)

UPDATE: Well, the initial experiment worked. So far it was flawless. Just what I was looking for. Thanks again.

TitanQuestVaultIGN is an official site, more or less for TQ (go to the game's site and go to forums/community once).

TitanQuest.net forums also is a major place, the only two places the devs from the game and tool creators post really.

TQ Vault Monitor is used to start Titan Quest to 'patch' it so it won't check for character integrity, the same thing the Defiler's 'Patch Game' button does. Immortal Throne does not require this, but beware that there is an integrity check on the character's caravan files now instead. If they are placed into a different path or modified the game wipes them out. Just today I created the code to calculate this check, once Bman implements it into the Vault then it will be possible to modify both your inventory and storage area without worry.

Just posting an update that the latest Defiler (3.3.1) now has the ability to recalculate the integrity check (and fix the embedded paths) in your caravan files as well.
