Gold Ring Vs. Silver Whats the difference?

Other than the req's what the difference between the different rings. What's the difference between the different books? Does it add special mods when u enchant higher level items?

Enchantable?...
It's possible the gold gain powerful magic or enchantments faster because of their higher level requirements...
Other than that it's likely the difference is just appearance.
