Hello
I have a question and maybe you can help me with it.
I reinstalled my windows and I stored the files located in
C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\
After installing a fresh copy of TQIT, I copied the saved files to the same place, I ran the game and everything seemed fine. My character, maps, skills, quests, inventory were the same as before, the only thing missing were my items from the storage bag.
Is there any way to get the items back and did I do something wrong with copying saved data to above mentioned directory?

I fixed to problem, got all my stuff back, the problem was that my old directory in the doc and settings was named Coko, but my new was named Admin, I just made a new user account in windows named Coko and I deleted the account name Admin, then I copied saved files from TQIT to the new default folder for documents and problem fixed.
the thing is , when I found the file that contains my storage items, there is a path that leads to that file inside,
my old saved path was
C:\Documents and Settings\Coko\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\SaveData\
and my new, when I reinstalled windows was
C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\SaveData\
the funny thing is, when I tried to copy/rename the content of that file (winsys.dxb , winsys.dxg) the game deleted all content of that file, really strange to be honest, oh well, as long as it works now <---happy cow

Nice catch on that I must say, I'm a computer technology major entering his sophomore year and even I wouldn't have caught something like that.

Hehe, I don't know much about programming, but if I know what I'm looking for and if I know what the problems is, I usually solve it.

Heh, alrighty then. But one thing, please refrain from using profanities on this website as per the forum rules. I've already edited the profanity out for you this time.

Instead of a character check, Immortal Throne has a check placed on the character's caravan files...and because the path is also embedded in the file if the path isn't correct it gets wiped...and if you change the path the check won't match (and it gets wiped). Thanks to Ian's help today on the titanquest.net forums I've devised the code necessary to calculate this new check so that the caravan files can be "fixed" without the need to create separate user accounts and such. It should be in the next Defiler (3.3.1 or higher), or you can search for Ian's little tool on the forums mentioned above.

Just posting and update that the Defiler 3.3.1 has been released with the new code.
