Problem with Quest - The Invocation

Having a problem with the quest "The Invocation"
I have both the hand of balance and eye of chaos in my inventory, my quest book also says I have said items but when I return to Imhotep he just says "Excelent, now bring me the other item and we can begin the ceremony" even though I have them both. Any idea's? I'm not to fond of starting all over again
