Does Anyone Know...

What those weird posts in the tiens landing forest do...ive beaten the game 4 times and cant figure out what it does...when you go near them they send out a wave that shows circles on the ground around them but thats all i can figure out do they serve any real purpose or just there for decoration?

there might be a bonus if you can turn them all on before time runs out, but i doubt it.

They do immolation damage if a ghost or undead creature passes through the circle, that's all. It's pretty useless.

Also if you turn them on to kill the ghosts your char doesn't get the experience points for destroying them.
