My husband and I are druids, and are not sure how to change into another form. Amazingly enough we are total newbies, and became addicated (thanks, sis). The game has been non-stop for three days. I see others at the same level we are changing form, however I haven't figured out what I would need to do in order to have that pleasure. Can anyone help me? :)

I've never played a druid above level 15 or so, but to get the initial form (Bear) - and I'd guess the others as well - you need to go to your class trainer and complete a quest.

You gain more shapeshifts as you lvl

the first one, which is bear form, you gain when you ding lvl 10.

you get it from a quest you'll get from your trainer.

IIRC, at lvl 16, you'll get a quest to learn how to shapeshift into aquatic form.

at lvl 20, you'll learn how to shift into cat form (this is taught from the trainer)

at lvl 40 you get your final form, which is dire bear. this is just a upgraded version of "Normal" bear form.

Optionally, you can get forms from talent points. these are moonkin aka boomkin from the balance talent tree, and tree of life from the restoration tree

Travel form (looks like a cheetah, and gives you +40% to movement speed while outdoors) is available at level 30.

An additional form awaits if you have The Burning Crusade expansion installed: Flight Form, available at level 68.

Other druid forms (attainable by investing talent points in the approriate talent trees): Moonkin form (31 point investment in Balance), Tree of Life form (41 point investment in Restorative).

Once you attain a form - such as Bear at level 10 - an icon for it will appear just above your toolbar. Just click on it to change, and click on it again to change back to humanoid form. Note that while in Bear, Cat, Sea Lion, and Travel form you can't cast spells nor use items. Moonkin and Tree of Life are exceptions to that.

haven't played WoW in a couple months, but i thought Travel Form was +30%? i may have just forgotten, or Blizz has changed it in my months away. anyways, another point to add about the shapeshift (although it may fall under "can't use spells"), you cannot shapeshift between forms (eg. bear to moonkin to travel form to cat to whatever else). you MUST either transform back to humanoid form on your own, or go get killed and auto-shift back :)

Aspect of the Cheetah and Aspect of the Pack are a base +30% to movement speed, modifiable by talent in the Beast Mastery tree.

Druid travel form is +40% to movement speed outdoors, which makes it faster than the speed boost feral talent will give a druid in cat form outdoors (+30%).

Hunters have an obvious advantage here: Aspect of the Cheetah and Aspect of the Pack function indoors. What better way to return to where you last wiped in an instance than for your hunter to turn on Aspect of the Pack? ;)
