Hi!
OK, I GIVE UP!!!! I have been trying for two days now to kill this guy.I can't even make a dent in him with ranged attacks or melee attacks. I get killed real quick. Also, I can't destroy the statues because of the patch I have installed. (I read that somewhere!) I have tried everything within my power to get this guy but to no avail. Can I go on to the Expansion Pack Immortal Throne without killing this guy? When I get frustrated, I tend to go on to something else. I hate not being able to do everything in the game but sometimes I give it up as a lost cause. I think this guy is going to be one of those lost causes. Please reply and let me know if I can go on with the Expansion.
Thanks a lot.

You can beat him. What is your build including skills? I usually post a link to a tinancalc by stonedonkey (search or google). You need to copy the link at the bottom not your url address window.

Or maybe you need to get more levels or equipment. But probably skills.

Also you need to learn about his attacks. The meteors are death so dodge them. Get some vitality resistance for life suck. Dodge fire breath and have fire resistance just in case. Finally don't hit him when he has thorns out his body.

I'll give more hints when I know your build. Try a scroll too and 120 healing potions.

Hi, Claudius!
I'm sorry to be so stupid, but how do I post my build? I'm not very computer literate so I need step-by-step directions to do this.
Thanks.

Another way to get past Typhon if u really dont want to face him is just go onto multiplayer and get a pro to help u with him.

TitanCalc by stonedonkey - A Titan Quest Calculator

Go to titancalc and select your combination of masteries (eg spirit, war, etc). Use the Skill Tree graphical interface to display your combination of skills. Go to the bottom of the screen and COPY the link at the bottom (not the top url). Then write a message in this forum and PASTE. Now we can look at a titancalc graphical display of your build.

Also type your equipment in your forum post and we can also know about that in case you need better resists or dps or something.

I used a ranged weapon, lots of health & engery potions. When you entry the battle area, run into the first shrine on the right and stay there. Holding down the shift key to stay stationary, fire your range weapon and keep drinking potions. If you have regrowth, it will help quite a bit. It took me about 4 minutes to beat Typhon. Good luck :)

get ur resistances up(fire, lifeleech, cold, poison) and go straight the thorn and battle shrines and then go at him cuz no matter what level and how powerful ur character, even normal titan can kill you in seconds. If you have the bow then u have an advantage just keep firin and then run away. But ive found that after he unleashes his fireballs of death he is most vulnerable to attack if ur a melee character.

yeah i agree with that, as he is incredibly hard in melee almost impossible, i had to use a bow and run to defeat him. Hopefully my dream-nature guy might be a better defeater of him, but that waits to be seen. Just one small thing, i want it back to the easy mehtod where destroy statues= no possibility of high damage against you, made if much easier for melee, the game is so biased towards ranged attackers!

I think the thing to remember is that having it hard is a "good" thing not a bad thing.

I would rather have something to struggle with and it to be a challenge rather than a walk in the park (like D2 when I first started playing that many years ago).

TQ is worth persisting with. I have beaten Typhon with: Dream/warfare character, Warfare/spirit character and Storm/spirit character.

So if you are struggling currently try one of the above builds and you may do alright. ;)

I partially agree. Typhon is quite a ways away if you die from him, and it really gets annoying that you die and have to run ALL the way back to the ring just to even see him again, only to realize he's regenerated 3/4ths the damage you did to him before you died.

However, yes, I do agree that a hard game is a good game. I just think that maybe a ten or fifteen percent reduction of Typhon's Defense and Hit points would make him not hard so you don't repeatedly die all the time but also still quite a challenge.

Hi, Guys!
Sorry to have taken so long to get back to you. I took a vacation for a week so maybe I will have better luck when I get back to the game. Will let you know.

Yeah... to me Typhon wasn't even all that hard to be honest. Took my Core Dweller, distracted the dumb titan with it, grabbed a Battle Marker, smashed the Hades -statue in the process and eventually went after the titan himself. He fell pretty easily, but then again my battlemage did make pretty much damage (about 200-300 points normally, with BM about 500-600 points). :)

Sure with other types this battle can be hard, I admit that.

I know what you mean. Same thing happened to me in Halo2. I am STILL stuck looking for the index.....dumb robot singing!! I have found in my years that the best thing to do is stop playing that game and work on another. I did exactly that with Halo. Stayed away for like a month and when I fired it back up......I KNEW what I should have done!! hahaha

Truth is, I may not even have played thorough TQ right because I adhered to my D&D rules. Example say a wizard/magician, etc. can't wear metal. So I got me the Liche King and two little doggies to follow me around and kick butt. The IS, after all, safety in numbers!! :)

I took Mr. Bad Guy out in about two minutes and NEVER went below 50 Life. He doesn't seem to be quite as "bad" when he has a wolf hanging on each are and a maxed out liche king who is burnin' his frame to toast!!!

Be well,

Against big bad boss monsters, skills that do "% damage" are very good, and the lich king is one of the best at it. Since you are nature, the plague tree will do the same thing for that mastery. The outsider from spirit will also do this type of damage.
