i always wondered why the hydra was on the front cover of the titan quest box but never saw him in the game,well when im in the athenian swamps guess who should appear and he is mean,i got so annoyed in the end i thought forget the majesyic chest but now its eating me that there maybe an amazing weapon of somekind in there but i just cant kill it,i have a soothsayer with the ability the summon at least 4 allies!even with these his cold,poison and fire attacks all but wipe me out in one!
any help i wana go back and cut his heads off!!!

I haven't faced him since I just entered epic Mongolia myself. I've read about this guy though, and he seems to be a toughy to say the least (they say he cheats). I've encountered some tricks about him I wish to share with you:

I'm still stuck at the Manticore, need to go back there and retry now I've progressed a bit. See what I can make of it now...
