Hello, I am a level 59 Assassin. I am having difficulties defeating some mini bosses. I asked for help on multi play and the people who came to help have unreal items and equipment. Where should I farm for such items? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you so much.

Some (most/all) of them may have cheated to obtain their items. There are mods such as defiler which can increase the chance for a drop by x100. Also a mod that doesn't allow normal or cracked items (so more chances for a drop). Also shopping mods like shop MI.

Finally you can make your own custom map with whatever items you want.

Is this the best way? Or the only way to be powerful? No. But it is the only way to have the insane impossible to find items (super greens).

I personally find the challenge is ruined if I use mods or even use the caravan. Just keep killing the bosses that you can survive and the areas you can survive.

I tried an assassin and I thought it was a challenge but I know people have beaten legendary from scratch with it.

Which enemies are giving you trouble? Perhaps we can problem solve to find a way to beat them (different skill/gear/strategy)

PS I am equally impressed with people who cheat their gear as people who drive a car to complete a marathon ;)

I have to completely agree with Claudius here....all except with the use of the caravan....just because I consider all my characters part of one big family so if I find the item legitimately then I should be able to give it to the "baby brother" of the character family to use via the caravan....but thats just my thoughts anyways...

Definately would recommend that you do not fall into the realm of getting "homemade" items. There are plenty of great items out there for you to find and use for your character.

My suggestions would be to try and farm either the Centaur Chief fella near Sparta, the Cyclops near Megara, the Scorpion King near Fayum, Bandari near Changan (terracota soldiers Sorceror)...or....well I don't want to give too much away...

Try one of the above then go from there...

Most assuredly would agree with Vidar agreeing with Claudius. I like the caravan because nothing sucks worse then getting something great and having another character that would be able to us it. Anywho...don't compare yourself to online players. I agree with Claudius, I doubt the seriousness that most/all got their gear and abilities legit. Sadly I quit going online because I got tired of see players serveral levels below me with gear and stats that just don't add up. ...and I can't even begin to tell you the amount of days I have spent playing this game...as well as the number of characters I have.

But...for farming gear without a difficult run, I find the scorpion king and easy and quick run. It's a run you can do in around 5 minutes. Mind you, that you will build next to nothing in experience, but he has some nice rewards. Also, go to chang'an (or however you spell it) and make a quick run on the terracota warriors as Vidar stated. Again a quick route to get there and can be done in a few minutes. Oddly...(and this makes for a nice run)...I guess that it is a glich in the game, but there have been times that I have made runs on the terracotas and there will be four giant chests there instead of two. They will be stacked right on top of each other. ODD...BUT NICE!!!

I always make these two runs everytime I start a new game. Easy runs because they are both around portals and good farming. If nothing else, it will at least add to the ole cash flow.

Best of luck and happy farming...may your days be filled with rain to reep a mighty harvest!!!

I'm pretty good with farming so ill give you the lowdown on what ive found in my countless hours of farming.

Best area for swords and spears:
Hades Castle: Kthonians are your prime targets here(you know the screaming ones with horns). These guys drop kthonian spikes and razors(monster infrequents) but they also drop blues and purples(only in epic and legendary of course for purples).
Tower of Judgement: Has kthonians in higher numbers.

Best Areas for Armour:
Epic/Legendary Medusas Caves: Can find stonebinder's bracers but they are quite rare. I've also found alot of great armour while trying to find stonebinder's. Also a great chance of finding a decent shield, spear and bows.
Areas surrounding Medeas grove: Can find alot of great spears and armour from the frogmen. Look out for the betrachos greaves they add a high percentage of Defensive ability and are in my opinion the best greaves in the game.

Ok drum roll..........
Best Farming area for blues and purples is The Secret Area:
Although you will battle the almighty Toxeus, it is well worth it. Ive found 60% of my uber purples in there. You will need the overlord key to get in there which Hades occassionaly drops. Just remember you dont have to battle the major bosses to get good drops especially if you keep on getting on the wrong end of battles. So just keep on redoing areas where there are tons of normal enemies. Also the best legendary items are found in legendary and the best epic items are found in epic.

Some good ways to find epic or Ledgendary items is to fight the big bosses a couple of times. And if u play on epic or ledgendary the chances that they drop better items will increase.

Although I completely understand what Toushiro means, I have to point out that a "couple of times" might be a bit hopeful: I have just killed Epic Hades 17 times and got 1 legendary (Eidolon Shield which isn't exactly what my Oracle was hoping for ;-p) and 4 epic items (2 which were very nice upgrades for the Oracle) 4 Arcane Formulas, and 8 or 9 Relic pieces... so it may take a lot of work to farm stuff, but if you're not as stupid as I was and die about 10 times figuring the encounter out, you should get items and experience along the way. I got the items but dying that much in epic isn't a good way to make experience LOL.
