Just wondering how well the Conqueror class does on Epic and higher with decent gear? Is he better off with a shield or dual weapons? Swords or Clubs? (dunno if its worth putting in extra Dex points for swords or not). So far I'm going by this build since I don't of anything else, seen it here on the forums:

Thanks, I looked up that club and yeah it pretty badass haha. So I should stick to clubs/axes then?

I would say see what drops. Stick to club, axe, sword. If sword is max speed attack then the others are probably better. With club you benefit from defender club stun ability (helps shield charge and warhorn too)

I have a level 64 Conquerer and I have the sapros and the shield of hideous visage. My only problem in epic is piercing attacks because my pierce resistant is 0! This is not a big problem however, because with sapros I just get 1000 hp back with every hit. You should max defiance and iron will as well, defiance reflects 60% of the damage and iron will is just awesome - 10 energy reserved and you get 80% resists.

Gear and Survivability
Ok I have a lvl 58 Conq. I just recently started playing online and this is my first post here. I will tell you what I tell most people who I encounter who are Conq's as well. The shield is your best friend period. If you can get a lot of skill points in the shield based attacks you can beat some serious face. As a lower lvl around 42-45 I managed to beat the Manticore with basic equipment and a decent purple shield. The best thing I can recommend for any Conq in regards to gear is find ones that will increase your resistances. I just started Legendary and when I got there I had 80% on all but one of my main resistances, and that was at 72%. All of my secondary are higher than 60%. So it is possible to build one that can take serious amounts of damage and deals it back out just as fast.
