Back when I used to play, I thought the horde had the better community. There are a lot of people who think all of the horde races are too ugly to play, and all those shallow people play on the alliance side. Thus, you get a lot of the friendly and smart people playing on the horde side. Exception to this is the undead race. Most of the goths and punks pick the undead race to play, and they too are part of the horde, but thankfully, most of the undead are on a different continent than the rest of the horde races. At a lot of the Warcraft conventions, a random person will commonly yell out "For the Horde!" and then you hear a couple other random people from the other side of the room yell "For the Horde!" as well, just because the Horde players are enthusiastic and fun. The alliance outnumbers the horde by a lot. So I think while the alliance has quantity, the horde has quality. This, of course, can vary from server to server. A few servers have the ratio of alliance to horde more even. This also may have changed, when Blizzard introduced the Blood Elves as part of the Horde. I am almost certain that Blizzard did that so that the Horde could have a pretty race to help balance out the Alliance to Horde ratio, but what it also does is get a lot of those shallow people to start playing on the horde side as well. Thus, diminishing the quality of the Horde community.
Always remember you're unique ... just like everyone else.

I think Caden summed it up pretty well. I totally agree. I played horde from the start and i made a lot of friends who would help you if you asked or would make a peice of gear for you even if you couldn't pay him/her enough. Then i started to play alliance (mostly cause my friend whom i played with on Horde went to college) I started a night elf but the people seemed, well... uptight. I also think the Horde races have better racial abilities.

Undead: Will of the forsaken, this spell is awsome for PVP. you get feared or traped or sheeped, anything that maikes you lose control of your character, cast this little racial ability and you are free once again. Cooldown is farely short, i think like 2 mins. Also you can hold your breath under water 300% longer than all the other races. Not to mention you can eat dead corpses to restore your life (humanoid or undead corpses)

Trolls: regen health even during combat. This makes good for mages, warriors, or any other troll class that can't heal themselves. This reduces downtime and might even save your life every once in a blue moon. they also have berzerk which i belive increases attack speed for a short period of time, this is excellent for the mellee classes.

Tauren: they have warstomp that stuns up to 5 enemies at a time for 2 sec which for the healing classes is enough time to get a good heal off or escape.

Orcs: I can't remember what they have, but who needs extra abilities anyways when your mean green and full or rage? ;)

Personally i like the areas that horde prosper in because it actually has the feel to being on a chaos stricken planet that is at constant war with eachother and i believe you get more of a feel for the history playing horde as well. Alliance players IMO just goof off in goldshire and stur up trouble. Horde seems to be at a state of harmony but is very professional when it comes to taking care of buisness and takeing care of eachother. This goes for NPCs and player alike.

There are other racial abilities for the classes that help a lot but I can't remember them all. These are just the ones that stick in my mind.

Hope this helps. ;)

For the Horde

I too agree with Caden Horde is so much friendlier and more players are willing to group up and help then on aliance side i started with horde from the get go when i started but i have played both and some times it took me 3 to 5 hours just to get one person to help me with a quest where as on horde side i was able to find like 3 people willing to help with in about 15 minutes. Besides in my opinoin the the so called "ugly races" of the horde side i think are totally BA i mean i love the Tauren and the Trolls

I agree with you. Although I have to say, there a high amount of flaming people on the horde side as well, which is logical.
But still, I prefer Horde to Alliance, as the Horde raiders are a lot more active, and actually put some effort init, unlike the Alliance raiders - of course, with limited exceptions.
