I had a hard drive crash and lost my character. I am trying to play broken world but the pre generaterd characters are too week. I had so much money and so high levels. I tried downloading from Charactershop(DS) but it only has multiplayer characters and they won't convert or even show to convert when I open single player. Can anyone help me or convert a saved game and send the convert to me? I originally had a nature mage with worked up combat range and melee so I could use lots of armor and skills. Please help. If you want to send to my e-mail it's kevincalhn4 the at symbol and then aim dot com. please anyone HELP!!

COME ON, SERIOUS? NO ONE HAS A CHARACTER THEY CAN LET ME BUILD OFF SO I STOPP GETTING KILLED? I'M HATING THIS GAME. I KEEP DYING. I HAVE NO ITEMS OR MONEY TO COUNTERACT THE DIFFICULTY OF 39 AND HIGHER LEVEL MONSTERS. PLEASE SOMEONE HAVE A HEART!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your HD crash. I hope you will do your manual backups more frequently now, (too) many harddisks crash sooner or later... :(

Well these things are rather a handicap in DS2 than an advantage.
Indeed you need some cash but all the remaining surplus is quite useless. And the quality of drops depends on the monster's levels (not on yours) so if your hero is 10 levels higher you won't find items appropriate to his level - in other words, you hurried levelling in exchange for being rewarded with relatively weak items.
Sadly you intentionally need to skip monsters in DS2 not to grow/level too fast...

If your characters were 'over-levelled' it surely must seem like this to you. Also there's a lack/bug in the native game increasing that impression once again.

However try the following if you like:
- Choose a pre-made hero nevertheless.
- Install the Aranna Legacy mod (incl. All*Saves for BW)
- Reduce the game difficulty e.g. on ~80% or even lower if you really need.

With a hero of equivalent level you generally would get the gameplay experience as intended by GPG (and the mod doesn't harm).
Also play a bit more carefully perhaps and do not hire everybody instantly since the monsters get stronger the more party members you have (this is no bug, it's a balancing feature).

If this is really the case simply de-install the game.

I can decrease difficuklty?

Thats what I kinda don't like. seeems like cheating but I have taken you up on your last option. I stopped playing. No one had a single player they wanted to send se3ems everyone played multi player and they don't convert for some reason.

I only play single player and I'd like to help but my char is broken world + several mods...don't think it would be compatible.

@kevincalhn4: If you want somebody to help you out with a savegame then you should at least describe the character you have lost to get a similar one again - class, level, game mode, ...
Or doesn't it matter? - Is every b!+ch welcome as long as she's (over)powered and sexy enough...!?

However, don't forget to mention the game version before you wonder about any savegame-backwards-compatibility... ;)

I believe we can copy our multiplayer character into singleplayer save directory manually...
