What are guilds?
Guilds are a group of people banding together under a common name in a MMO.
It can be either a group of friends playing together, a group of players sharing a common goal and so on.
Why one needs to join? Well - you don't - however in MMO certain tasks and quests and dungeons are usually too powerful for players to solo, and then it is a good thing to have a guild to play with.
