Lost town quest

We all know this quest... but i dont know how far this 1 goes, i mean i know i turn in the book after geting it from the tomb but when i ask about the deciphering... i dont get it ... what must i do...
I think there is more here than meets the eye

What quest are you talking about exactly? When do you get it?

I don't think so. I checked back after every "chapter" (or main quest from the king, if you like) and didn't learn anything valuable.
