Level up Spells

Can anyone tell me how to get spells from Level 1 to Level 2 and 3? I have selected this option under 'Magic' with the necessary runes but can't see how to proceed.
Any advice gratefully received!

So you've upgraded your spells from level 1 to 2 or 3 under magic, but you also need to go and upgrade each indivdual spell in your spellbook with magic crystals.
i.e if your order magic skill is second level, you will have to spend a number of magic crystals to upgrade say the heal or lightning spells from first to second level spells.

also a note
when u have upgraded the spells
but don't have enough mana for a level 3 spell
u can press shift(to cast it on level 2)
and ctrl to cast it on level 1
