The Rant

I'm sure people thought I was going to vent off or something. Sorry to disappoint you, folks. But I remember when I first played the game, I was in an area where I came across some old guy talking weird nonsense and then the main character basically vents his spleen big-time. In playing through this time, I haven't found it...maybe I missed an area without realizing? Anyone know where it's at?
Thanks!

Well there are a lot of people that talk nonsense in bg1 but I think you mean wendar portal bender,he's in 1 of the forest areas near beregost and says he knows about your future,he speaks in jokes and riddles.

The Rant Response is as follows:
Okay, I've just about had my FILL of riddle-asking, quest-assigning, insult-throwing, pun-hurling, hostage-taking, iron-mongering, smart-arsed fools, freaks, and felons that continually test my will, mettle, strength, intelligence, and most of all, patience! If you've got a straight answer ANYWHERE in that bent little head of yours, I want to hear it pretty dam*ed quick or I'm going to take a large blunt object roughly the size of Elminster AND his hat, and stuff it lengthwise into a crevice of your being so seldom seen that even the denizens of the nine h*lls themselves wouldn't touch it with a twenty-foot rusty halberd! Have I MADE myself perfectly CLEAR?!

Portalbendarwinden was his name, I believe. Kinda sticks, a name like that.

Good response.

LOL...thanks for quoting it to me! Too bad its so long or it would make a *great* sound byte for a BG soundset (with myself recording it, of course)...hmmm, perhaps a battlecry? Nah; some battle are over in seconds.
