The conversation with Mr. Shade is actually pretty funny if you get him going long enough. When you finally tell him that you've just been playing along, he takes the Golden Pantaloons that you've held onto since Chapter 1.
Now, here's the question; should I let him take'em or should I hang onto'em for BGII? I've heard it bandied about that you acquire a pair of silver pantaloons and that the hints going around for BGIII (or whatever the sequel will be called) may have copper pantaloons or maybe there'll be an answer to the entire mess.
Any clues, hints, or spoilers, peoples? Thanks!

LOL you MUST keep those pants. Yes you get the silver ones in BG2 and the bronze undies in ToB, see the section on this site called 'Pantaloons Enigma' They tell you what to do and what the rewards are...

you get a big metal suit that is usable to all characters and has like -20 ac and makes u look like an iron golem and a gun with very limited ammo
