I have not found a whole lot of info on this expansion. All I know is that it exists and is part of the BG series. I have not really found any games of it at the stores but I have not really tried. Is it worth buying or even looking for?

I think it's really worth buying...
It gives you several new areas that are some of the funniest to play in my opinion...
And it gives you the great thing that unidentified items are blueshaded... it really helps...
I would say that if you like BG, then buy it. But if you didn't then don't... it's nothing really new in that way... just more fun to do...

Definetly has the toughest dungeons in the whole BG series, especially Durlag's Tower. Tons of reloading.
The other areas are pretty challenging too. Alot of tough enemies.
Its in between BG and BG2, so it allows to have a balanced party.
All the classes are valued in the game.
In BG1 the warriors were more important.
In BG2 you needed mages and clerics.
In TotSC, you still depend on your fighters, but the wizards begin to be somewhat formidable, and the clerics can heal. The thieves are a must.
An ideal party if you plan to buy the game would be a:
fighter(melee)- Kaigain/ Khalid
fighter(melee)- Minsc
fighter/thief- Coran
theif- Safana, Imoen
cleric- Branwen
mage- Dynaheir, Edwin, Xzar

It also makes projectiles twice as fast! No more outrunning arrows and fireballs.

I agree with every one else it bumps up the exp cap. And adds new features that are great for the game. I think it also follows a great story line.
For the price it is a steal.
