How many different endings are there?

There is of course, the generic light side... with/without Bastila redemption and if she is redeemed, it can be through romance.

The Dark side follows along those lines with you ruling the world with Bastila at your side. I never killed Carth, but I heard you can.

Is there one where you kill Bastila with after choosing the dark side at the temple? What else am I missing?

You can't kill Carth. And you can only kill Bastila should you fail to make her see the light, so to speak, on the Star Forge. The ending for that is similar to the LS one, only difference is you are missing a companion during the final roll call.

Apart from that, I don't think there are any other major alternatives for you to discover.

There is some kind of condition where you can make Bastilla kill Carth. I think you have to play a woman, progress far with the Carth romance but go darkside before the end, possible Darkside Mastery as well. Carth comes after you just before you escape the Starforge, to try to turn you to the light side. If Bastilla is with you at that point, you can make her kill him.

Thanks, didn't know that. I thought there was one where you could push Carth off the cliff. (not that I have seen it).
