Can't create game...

Hello, first of all I have installed this same game, IWD with HOW on this exact same OS with the same grafix and drivers less than 6 months ago and it worked just fine. I haven't made any major major changes to the system since. I had un-installed it 6 months ago because I was playing something else at the time, but I wanted to play it now so I re-installed it recently and this time I can't get past the Create Game screen. I click "Full Game" and then try to click "Done" and the screen goes dark and it doesn't do anything. When I move the mouse about half way up and click it displays an invisible "Done", but it still doesn't do anything. I imagine this may be a grafix issue, but would have no idea what it can be since I havn't done anything to the config or drivers and the drivers are up-to-date anyway. I have tried re-installing it three times so far to the same hard drive and then to a different one.

I have taken screenshots of the three steps and described them in the image here (scroll down to see whole image):

I hope someone can please help me.

There is a graphics fix for IWDII somewhere around here. Try searching some other threads?

I searched for something, been so long I forgot what keywords I used, but it didn't come back with results. I googled my problem and that's how I found this forum but what else I read I don't think was the solution. I have the latest patch installed and that is usually what has the fixes.

BTW, this is the IWD 1 forum, your screenshot is from IWD 2.
I am certain there is a graphics fix for XP / Vista. It's mentioned on Gamebanshee, but the download is from another site.

No that screenshot is from Icewind Dale Heart of Winter which is part ones expansion. I have the 4 disc compilation. In Icewind Dale 2 I can not connect to game session for some reason. I have seen fixes for that, but none of those fixes work for me.

Update: Just googled "icewind dale graphics fix" and didn't come up with anything but IWD2 stuff.

Maybe switching your desktop resulotion and colourdepth to match IWD can help?
BTW, have you run the IWD config program? IIRC, there are graphic options there for videocards.

Yes, those are some of the things I usually try and the I have been through the config things so many times. I usually fix everything and teach others how to fix things, but I can't figure this out. Very frustrating, lol.
