I plan to get Viconia(sympathy im playing drow bard who wants to try and find the "Brighter" side) imoen(she's ma sis) and kivan(good fighter) and later on in the game Yeslick and coran but i need something to fill the gap

You'll need a fighter. Since you've got a mostly good aligned party i'd recommend, you get Minsc, Khalid and Jaheria. Early in the game you need frontline fighters(Minsc and Khalid), long range support from Kivan, and have your bard and jaheria take out the weaker enemies.
Then later in the game i recommend you drop jaheria for Yeslick (khalid would complain, but just send jaheria into a battle she can't win and let her die). You can switch Kivan for Coran since both of them are very similar(good archers), but Coran also has really good lock opening skills. Ofcourse you can keep both of them, and have 2 superb archers that can take out anybody who comes near you.
Suggest party:
Minsc- 2 handed sword. melee warrior
Kivan- Great archer and can melee also
Coran- Great archer, some good thieving skills(lock opening/ pick pockets)
You(bard)- Mage spells plus some good range abilties.
Imoen(dual to mage)- Give her points in stealth and dual her around lv.5 to a mage

i don't like minsc and the rest is the same as b4

There is a decent paladin in the area where all the Ankhegs are, if you enter the area from South you should find him on the road, definately worth the tradefor Jaheria
