NPC's How many. Search not working

I can not get the search button to work. I have sent a email to Mr. Birnbaum, so in the mean time can some one tell me how many total NPC's can join your party in FO2. No spoilers please. Just the number.
Kind of weird, I very seldom use the search function because of not wanting to read spoilers and then the one time I decide to use it, it won't work:laugh:

Well, I really don't know what's going on so I'm going to make a post in the Tech Support. Posted again to let everyone know I was able to use search as long as I was not logged in, so I think I got my question answered. But I have to be logged in to post. Go figure

Thanks for not posting names. Just wanted numbers. Specifically, what is the max. you can have in your party at one time.

The max would be 6, I guess, not counting some "free" henchmen.
1 for each two points of CH, and 1 extra for the perk "Magnetic Personality".
