Here I be... just finishing up Spellhold.

I slept and got the shapechanging ability with my main character.

In my party is Minsc, Edwin, Jaheira, Viconia, Imoen.

How do I get out of Spellhold?

Secondly... can I get any other party members after going to the underdark?

I did a jump cheat and took the mirror... ended up in the underdark and Minsc kills Edwin... so I am stuck with a crappy mage and only five party members. I went back to my previous save game and don't know the proper way off of Spellhold.

If you already got the shapechange for you must be at the second part of spellhold, where the big minotaur statue stands. You must get the 2 horns of the statue to open the way for the next "TEST". The horns are both hidden on the floor you are currently remaining (the floor where your main char shapechanged). Just walk thru the level and you will fiend all the horn (and hopefully all the OTHER really nice and important items). You need more spoilers? Any question open?

BTW: Dont forgett to go with Seamon Havarian back. You will arrive in the fish city, what is a funny quest and you will get 2 nice cloacks.

SPOILERS BELOW:

You get the shapechange ability AFTER you rest and have a dream with Imoen and you as the Slayer killing Sarevok, Jon and Bodhi, you don't get a shapechange ability after you turn for the first time into Slayer.

You can't prevent Minsc killing Edwin, I guess, although it never happened in my game, it's probably related to some dialogues before.

As for the leaving Spellhold, there are 2 ways:if you choose the mirror, the main door of Spellhold gets locked and you can go directly to Underdark, but if you choose Saemon's help, then you return to Brynnlaw, do a quest there for him and then leave with his ship.Choose how you want, I'd recommend Saemon's help.

We all recommend that you take Saemon's help, unless you want to beat the game as fast as possible

I wouldn't exactly call what Saemon offers "HELP", lol, but it is easily the most rewarding.

More circuitous, but more fun.
