Walk not run

Has anyone figured out how to walk?My character has a walk animation but i can't seem to manually control it.The game world is really beautiful and i'd like to be able to walk around and enjoy it once in awhile

I'd like to know this too. I can do it but there is a catch. Immediately after loading, go into defend position (shield up), then begin walking while in this position. without stopping, release shield and you should be walking. If you stop for any reason, however, you will go back to running.
It would be nice to know if there is a way to just walk.
