Any tips on beating this boss? I'm wiping all over the place.
(edit) My current party is Oghren, Alistar, Wynne and rogue (main character).

What I did was focus on the tentacles first and the darkspawn second, using area of effect paralysis spells, such as Cone of Cold. Fighting the Broodmother herself, I had my mage (60 armor, 85 defense) tank and auto attack it and have my party members (Alistair (or Oghren), Morrigan and Shale stand back and watch.

Cast some AoE spells, then call your fighters back out of harm's way to fight the tentacles. Tempest and Inferno are sure bets, as are Cone of Cold, Shock, and Fireball. However, it sounds like your group is predominantly melee - so unless you gave Wynne some offensive abilities (Earthquake is not recommended since your team falls over if they don't pass the physical check) you will be struggling. Once the Broodmother gets a hold of one of your melee fighters it's almost sure they're going down.
With the team you have... Hm. Naturally, you want to play up everyone's strengths - make sure your rogue's weapons are coated in your best poison, and have Alistair's and Oghren's scripts so that they consume health poultices if their health falls to low. Might help to set Wynne's script to drink a lyrium potion when her mana drops to 10% so she'll keep healing your team.
If it were me, I would take control of Wynne for the duration of the fight and let your rogue's AI handle the swordplay in this instance. This way you can sort of plan Wynne's spells out, and if one of your melee fighters dies you can quickly cast Revival on them to avoid wiping out.
The idea may be unappealing, but you may consider backtracking to an area where you can get to the party selection screen. You can probably trade Morrigan for Oghren for this battle (he'll force his way back into your party after you've killed the Broodmother and moved on).

The key to this battle is your mage.
I had Morrigan with me and no other mage (healer). She had learned the Cone of Cold spell, which is invaluable since it freezes the Broodmother and she cannot use her grapple ability all that much. Other than that I hit her with Damage Over Time spells like Curse of Mortality and Living Bomb. Vulnerability Hex is also useful to make sure she freezes every time and generally increases the elemental damage taken.
Other than that make sure your melee fighters have nature protection (use lifestones, or nature salves). It is also imperative that you have a fighter with the Indomitable talent (like Oghren), so that he can focus exclusively on the Broodmother without losing precious turns lying on the ground.
Moreover I didn't deal with the tentacles at all. If they go after your mage move her out of the way.
Follow the aforementioned strategy until the Broodmother screams for help. When reinforcements arrive, cast your Area Of Effect spell. I used Blizzard which also freezes the darkspawn (not the Broodmother though) and makes battle easier. While casting the spell increase your melee fighters' corresponding resistance (lightning for Tempest, cold for Blizzard and so on) with salves. Use a rogue or archer to kill any remaining darkspawn after the spell.
To sum up: use salves, keep a fighter on the boss at all times, use DOT spells before the scream and AOE spells to control the mob.
Remember to stock on health poultices (all sizes) , 'cause you're gonna need them.
Toughest boss fight in the game so far (which is quite far).

This fight doesn't require much strategic expertise actually. Just focus on the Darkspawn, then on the tentacles next. Ignore the Broodmother completely until all her adds are wiped out. Always keep your health up with pots and spells. Feel free to use poisons, bombs, etc. as well.
Did it on hard difficulty with Alistair(Tank Specc), Zevran(Assassin/Duelist Melee Specc), Morrigan(Healing/CC/Dmg Mix Specc) and Myself(Assassin/Duelist Melee Specc).

The cone of cold spell is propably the best and most strategic spell in the entire game...you can even freeze the final boss with it! It's simply OP...use it wisely and you will own every boss in the game!
