easyTUTU graphics prob AND questions.

So I got easyTUTU intalled that and a wack load of other patches. There's a problem with graphics, where a moving object that you can't interact with (i.e. a butterfly, bird, whatever) has a big black square around it. Its really annoying when there are lots of these things because I can't see anything behind them. Also, if I die and reload the game, all the explored spaces remain black, even if I go there again. Everything is black but my LOS.

So what do I do? Reinstall everything? Arrgh.

And a question about BG2 Tweak Pack. If you say 'don't display' so and so part to install, does it intall it, or just skip it?

Thanks again for your help!

If you tell it not to display a sub-section of a mod during installation, it will simply skip it during installation, as well. It's as though you told it, "Nevermind with that stuff. I'm not interested. Ignore it completely, and go on to whatever you have to offer, next."

About the black squares - either turn 3D acceleration on or in the graphics option check software mirror blt / software transparent blt or software standart blt (experiment with them a bit) , click done and now all should work fine.

Thanks a lot Fable, got everything installed.

As for the black squares (and item pics), I still don't know what to to. In the graphics panel it gives me different options just as Daynov said, but I'm not able to click on any of them. I can't even change from 32 to 16 bit colours. What's up with that?

I think they wont work if you have 3d acceleration on , in that case turn it off , go with 16 bit textures and experiment with the above options.

Okay, so I fooled around with the graphics options in the BG Config. Looks like the 3d acceleration wasn't turned on in the first place. That seemed to fix things.

One other problem though... for the widescreen mod, can you recommend a good setting? Right now the portraits on the side are way too small, and so is everything else. I guess I'll have to reinstall everything too after I do that.

Thanks again Daynov!

Try a lower resolution setting, and see if that helps.
