Dragon Age - Summoning Sciences...How to complete? (spoilers)

was hoping someone could explain to me the sequence for this quest? I do not seem to figure it out as keep getting zapped...
Also, unrelated question....after I have Sten join my party and leave Lothering, am I not able to go back?

As far as I'm aware you can't go back to Lothering.

You can go back to Lothering, at least up until
completing Redcliff & Urns of Sacred Ashes.
The sequence of the Arcane Summoning Sciences is explained in your Codex. Check for it there, then click the mentioned objects in that order.

I was not able to go back Lothering after leaving. As soon as I went to one of the "major" plot areas after leaving, I couldn't return.

Leaving it definitly doesn't make it inaccessable. I left and returned, twice.

Lothering "falls" after you complete your first Blight mission. So essentially you lose access to Lothering at the same time you
get the "Assassin" cutscene and eventually encounter Zevran.

Where in the mages tower did you find a note that tells you to do it in this order? I can only find notes for the first 3

AFAIK, there isn't a note. You just have to figure it out through trial and error.

I found one in a room beyond the room with the summoning thing. I THINK it was on a shelf. BUt I got an Updated Codex entry with the full instructions.
Also, you need to have activated the Summoning Font, or you don't see it. It's called Summoning the Forth.

yeah i found notes on all four summoning sciences. you just mainly have to look everywhere :]

it is all the items of the first 3 summons in order (except the font, it is just once)
