All in all, shapeshifting is regarded as one of the weaker specializations but I rather like it. It is especially useful once it is maxed out.
Sorry for the trouble again Ned but I was wondering could you or some check something for me since mine is still being shipped and my friend isn't here with his laptop for me to try on his..
if you shapeshift, does your HP stay the same or does it change too depending on form?
I am not too worried about the shapeshift being weak--- in fact ive not heard too much good things about rangers either.
To me the stat bonus is viable in itself for a "pure" arcane warrior RP playthrough. So is Sprt. Hlr.
just for conceptual talk...
I always wanted a shapeshift that takes into account either your default stats or the items you wear.
ex. wear nothing = agile bonus trait and goes with unique look
robe = skin trait which and goes with unique look
wear leather = thick skin bonus trait and goes with unique look
wear metal = hard shell/exoskeleton trait and goes with unique look
so for spider transformation:
wear nothing = large tan jumping spider, agile bonus trait allows for maybing jumping skill to close in on enemies fast and have good dodge chance while probably low armor value and no bonus to health- maybe bonus to dex as the stat bonus after master or let traits be the ones to come after mastery?
robe = a "see through" spider of the imagination- creative artist needed- and allows for magic resistance of either generic (everything) or a specific type bonus depending on item. +MAG bonus in stat possible. no HP bonus, armor bonus proportional to something calculated with robe default armor values. Does magic/spirit damage, not regular physical like all others.
leather = hairy spider, maybe the trap-door ones? thick skin bonus trait allows for better armor and still rather agile but not as the "naked shift" version. Special skill to dig a trap door making you unseen until you pop out to "drag one in". You devour opponent while your in the trap with "one target" that was nearby but you cant do anything unless you let him go or kill it. No bonus stats but small HP increase. Maybe have optional thing like if you are not out of the trap/hole, you are immune to electric and cold but fire can still get you.
armor = giant black widow. exoskeleton/armored bonus trait to STR, DEX, WILL, and additional HP. Higher armor value proportional to quality of armor just like the others that take into account some worn item. Has some bonus trait like lethal poison that can occur when it hits enemy for physical damage.
and then respective versions for bear and swarm hahaha
oh i hope modders may take this one haha...
I was never good at making shapeshifting druids in the D&D days
hell i made a orc wizard ("rage mage?") and orc druid... >.>
why?
no clue... didnt know what i was doing hehe.
