I've been using the same mods for a while now. But started new character yesterday, and decided to play the game a bit different this time. played the full FCOM Convergence last time + some other mods.

New Mods:

- The Lost Spires
- BTmod
- deadly reflex
- Alternative Start by Robert Evrae
- Smarter Mercantile Leveling - Multi
- Oblivion XP
- CleanQuit

After adding these I have been getting quite many more CTD's.

Any suggestions on what to change to reduce CTD's?

Here is my load order:

. Note: Using a file to load a BSA means the BSA must NOT be listed in Oblivion.ini at the same time or the game will not load.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that Deadly Reflex loads at the very end of the list--but that may be an earlier release. It's worth your checking on it.

You have read all the readme files for each mod about compatibility, right?

Did you follow the Oblivion XP directions about both renaming several files, and changing the contents of your INI file?

Finally, FCOM is a real problem to get working correctly. Bethsoft's own Oblivion mod forum is probably the best place to get help in where its ESPs and ESMs should go relative to everything else.

Using BOSS to make load order, don't have a clue what goes first or last have been relying on that it got the load order right..

FCOM was running as good as it gets before I added the new mods, only crashed when I un/equipped certain items.

As for reading about compatibility, I saw something about renaming entries in .ini when installing files manually, but I used the OMOD so I basicly just activated it and ran the game.

BOSS is great, but it doesn't override your knowledge about your own mods. Read the readme's. ;) Especially read about Deadly Reflex.

Check to see that the files were actually renamed, as the readme for Oblivion XP indicated. If they weren't, that could cause a problem.

I would also suggest posting about all this over on Bethsoft's own board, here. Because there are many people who run FCOM specifically, and know all about its quirks. Myself, I only run the "F" part, along with about 180 other mods.

It's also more work, but I would suggest looking into Wrye Bash. The main site appears to be down at the moment, but it will inform you if any of your mods are out of correct date order, or if dependencies are messed up. It has a lot of advanced functions, too. Safe to avoid the program, but it does help with complicated setups--and if you're running FCOM, and more mods, you may just want to consider it. Or at least, read about it.

Already got it, and all .esp and .esm files are green. So it's probably just a minor thing causing problems.
