Hi guys, loving Dragon Age still, but i've had a few problems with my characters stopping attacking. I tend not to use tactic slots as i play DA a lot like i played BG, in that i pause it every 10 seconds or so! However, i've found that sometimes, my characters might even just attack once then just stand there. Then at other times they keep attacking.

I've tried turning on move freely and so forth, but im now a bit stumped as to what else i can do. I know on BG if you turned that off and pressed attack, it's all they did.

Any ideas? Sorry if it seems a very dumb question.

Some attacks stop your characters from attacking ... for example if someone knocks you back a few feet, it switches off your attack so you need to move closer to the enemy again and re-click to begin combat again.

Also if you have the hold switched to "on", when the hand is shown in the little circle just below the line of portraits, then they might not do anything if your tactics are set without attacking. Just click on the hand to get it to change. Also, (at the most basic level) - take a look at the various preset tactic options (for each character) and see if there is one that will work for you.

Cheers guys, pretty much worked by turning tactics off. Sadly DA has just deleted my quick save, so old manual save time for me!
