Landscape Mod Comparison Website

There used to be a site that compared the various landscape texture mods for Morrowind. Does anyone remember? It had lots of comparison screenshots and they were neatly ordered.
I'd love to know if it is still out there. Anyone seen it?

Yeah, it's Thepal's site.
This is what you want. Appears to be down at the moment, however. Ufrealms.net often is. Checked it out not a month ago, though, so it's probably still running.

Thanks.
I'm attempting to locate it in Google cache as well. Do you know if the page in question had a specific title?

No luck finding it. On Google the pages that link to it are more popular than the page itself. No matter, I'll have to wait then until it comes back. I'm guessing the site has exceeded its bandwidth for the month or something? Here's to hoping it will come back next week.
It's fine really, I still have to search for mods and loadorders and stuff. Most importantly I want to see this game optimized for multicores in one way or another. I ran the game unmodded, without shadows but I was unhappy with the framerate I saw in Seyda Neen.

I trust it will come back, because I've seen nothing about it closing up in the official Morrowind mod forums, where I tend to hang around. It really *is* very good as a landscape textural comparative, though it doesn't include the most recent packages.

Would you say some of the more recent ones that aren't on it are better than most older ones?

Honestly, no. People have redone textures according to their own taste, but this isn't a progressive thing. The latest aren't better than the older ones, just each person coming up with their own changes or combinations.
If you'd like advice on which ones different people prefer, start a thread, or look for an older one to get reactions. I'll gladly chime in.

Nah, I want to sail through this with the least amount of effort -when it is time. I trust your taste, so your 'honestly, no' is enough for me.

I've contacted Thepal about the status of his website, and it appears the host has actually given the ghost permanently. It can still be found at his own server:

Well, that's a damn shame, because quite a few modders house their material on it. I applaud your efforts to get Thepal's own server address, though. Pretty good display, isn't it?

Yes, I've never seen anything quite like it for any game. Total necessity too.
