Who should I kick out of my party?

I'm in Spellhold right now and I really want Imoen in my party (I'm more of a storyline type person :P ). However, my party is actually pretty solid right now. Here's who I have:
PC
Minsc
Jaheira
Edwin
Anomen
Jan

I would get rid of Jan if he wasn't so useful. D:

Edwin.

He's a very powerful NPC, no doubt, but of your group he's the one that deserves most to stay behind, if nothing else simply because he visibly doesn't care about the PC or his quest, he's just in it for himself!

Also Misnc despises Edwin and problems may arise by keeping them both in the party.

Hmm its a good idea to replace a thief-mage with thief/mage but if you dont wanna kick jan i suggest you just feed edwin to the pit fiend. He doesnt fit into an apparently neutral-good oriented party (unless your pc is evil and anomen failed his test) You wont lose much in terms of mage spells, immy practically being a single class mage and she can make use of amulet of power.

You never wrote what profession of your PC was.

Kick Jaheira I despise that [.... insert derogative term for female dog that fable will not let me write, but which fits jah really well]. Let Anomen handle the clerical stuff. I never take her and her ever-whining husband in BG I anyway and in SoA I kick her as soon as we are out of Chateu Irenicus.

I couldn't agree more. I'd rather romance Edwina than put up with her skankitude.

If you have "Red Badge" encounter from Weimers Tactic mod, and You gave Jaheira points in spear usage, kick Anomen. (BloodSpear that you receive from Red Badge fight makes Jaheira a very strong ranged character with healing spells and buffs. 'Tis makes her worth keeping)

If not, kick Jaheira.

Oh yeah, and PC is a berserker. :P And I think I'll kick Edwin seeing as Imoen herself is already a (decent? I don't know) mage. And Jaheira's harper call and spells are pretty useful. :D

Kick Jaheira - unless you plan to keep her as sacrifice NPC in hell, in case you're evil :D .

Why does everyone hate Jaheira? She's the best, and least annoying female NPC in my opinion. I can't believe you've put up with Jan's constant burping thus far, so if you like him, keep him (little turnip munching scab that he is).

And if we're going to bitch about someone why not bitch about ANOMEN. I mean, he HAS to be gay doesn't he? His portrait ALONE tells me he's bent. It's the beard.

I agree with the majority here though, Jan IS useful, as is Anomen. Imoen can easily replace Edwin, who, as some have pointed out, will probably come to blows with Minsc at some point.

(Personally I'd kick Edwin, Jan, AND Anomen, then summon a pit fiend and walk away.)

The problem here is - Jaheira talks more than Anomen! :)

I agree. Edwin is pure evil and doesn't fit your party; Anomen I could never stand, Jan... take or leave, but useful. Jaheira ... well... she's neutral and neutral is irritating... ;)

Fable will warn me for this, but so be it.

My problem with Jah is her constant bitching. Jan is inane and Anomen is arrogant, but Jah constantly bitches and patronise- constantly! And as soon as your rep start going up she bitches about that as well- and her precious balance. "Bla-bla-bla, yada-yada-yada-balance-patronise-nature-boss around".

Further, her husband's body is hardly cool before she starts going for you. Who would want that kind of partner or friend?

She needs to be slapped around a bit, and as you cannot do so, I just kick her. Not that I endorse violence against women, in fact women should be protected and cared for- but there are exceptions, and Jaheira is certainly one.

I don't know who Jan is lol, but i would say kick Edwin. Jahiera and Minsc are like life long partners you can't ditch them. Plus in my personal opinion they are the BEST NPCs in the game.

Throughout history, both in fact and in fiction, difficult crusades have often involved allies of convenience.

Forcing your party to work with evil elements is both more realistic and more challenging. Running around around with a homogeneous good-aligned party that agrees on everything, just so you can score the biggest XP gains is a snoozefest for me. So contrived.

Edwin is a tool, a powerful tool. It's up to the PC to manage this and utilize this for the greater goal.

Not to mention, having an evil NPC rocks so you can explore the more evil elements of the game...like looting that shiny chest in the nice, sweet old lady's house. You know that you want to. But your party with 4 paladins won't do it. That's ok, just let them stand outside and have a pipe break while Edwin does what you *really* want to inside that house. :D

Uhh... there is that... but most people would prefer not to!

You can kick her out of the party and then attack her. Just before you kick her out take all her weapons and armor and eliminate all but heal spells from her spell book.

Don't tell me no ones ever done that? I fed Anomen to some bears once, took away his weapons and sent him in to attack a bear or two alone and stood back and let "nature" take its course.

hahah awesome. how about waltzing the pair of them into the beholder den (Underdark) with nothing but their skivvies on?

You know all this talk is really making me want to put an evil party together that kills every single thing in the game. Totally de-populate all the areas after I milk the quest out of them. And screw that ban on using magic within the city! I'm going to waltz down the streets spraying horrid wilting at anything that moves :D

Why should I warn you? You married her. She puts up with you; you have to put up with her. It's the perfect ****up made in heaven. ;)
I fed Anomen to some bears once...
Oh, everybody does that. I don't think you've truly lost your BG2 virginity (such as it is) until you've fed Anomen to the bears, or turned him into fried clerical steaks, or left him in the Underdark with a handful of pamphlets to convert dark elves. It's quite cathartic. :)
