DLC Content Unbalanced?

Post by OnlyClock »

Okay, this is just one of those things. Some parts of Return to Ostagar were incredibly easy, but others...

On Normal difficulty, my 18th level spirit healer/arcane warrior elf mage and Alistair, Morrigan, and Leliana had just finished off a number of darkspawn. A few more came running toward us. I had Arcane Shield, Shimmering Shield, and Combat Magic [ with Fade Shroud ] on, and I was at full hit points because I had just cast Group Heal. After a brief skirmish, the last one left, a Hurloc [ a normal "white-named" one, not an alpha or emissary ] came in and killed me in one hit.

I'm going to repeat that. I was at full 180+ hit points, with all that defensive magic on, no negative spells on me, and a normal Hurloc just came in and ganked me in one hit.

And it's not the first time it's happaned. Not just with Hurlocs, but still -- and only in DLC. Mostly, in a Golem's Memories and the Stone Prisoner. When I was lower level, I just assumed the darkspawn had gotten a lucky critical. But at 18th level? That's just stupid.

Anyone else have a problem?

No, not like that. But then, I did RtO twice, and both at reasonably low level.

Nope, nothing like that happened to me like that in either the Stone Prisoner or Ostagar. Bummer. But then I only play after checking my horoscope to be sure the stars are correctly aligned. ;)
Those who will play with kitties must expect to be scratched.
