Hi, this is my first post. I'm currently waiting for the.. Wait he's here brb... (Sorry, the necromancer from "Necromancer's Moon" quest finally arrived).

Anyways, so I see people making this threads about making characters specialized in all these different skills and such. I was wondering if you can also just have 1 character and have him just be all around good.

Like personally I didn't really know rules to Oblivion when I started so I have joined all the guilds and have become the highest rank (atleast on my way). Also I have been maxing my ability points based on my current uses. If that makes sense. EX: I have agility and speed maxed because my first guilds were the dark brotherhood and thieves, now I'm working on willpower, int, and strength.

Am I F***'d or is this okay to do?
So far I haven't encountered any problems based on my abilities. Just my thinking.

Just let the auto-censor do it's thing. It still annoys the site owner when people try to **** around with it like you did, and that can get you kicked off the forum. Fair warning.

As for becoming all-around, just minimax your skills. Put your least used skills, one for each attribute, in your major skills. Then you won't be forced to level, and can spend all your time doing the various guild quests, and raising all your other skills.

I ususally have allrounders, Grim. Occasionally I'll run a specialist Mage or Stealth character, but mostly they finish up as allrounders anyway. Also, mostly they don't max out more than a couple of attributes or skills before they are around level 30/40.

As fable said, it helps to keep some of your primary skills as minor not major.

For my allrounders my most frequent Major skills are:

Armourer
Alteration
Blade
Sneak
Security

The other two are variable depending on custom class. I put in a couple of magic if mainly sneaky, or a couple of sneaky if mainly magic. I rarely make Warrior types.
