OK, I'm at the beginning of chapter 6, finishing my exploration of baldurs gate. Every once in a while when I'm in an Inn my whole party just drops dead...all at once. Also, sometimes when I awake from resting, one of the characters in my party will say something about being sick, throwing up their last meal, being poisoned, and Illmater being the only one who can heal me? Any ideas?

you have indeed been poisoned, it is a quest and you need to get the antidote from some bloke in baldurs gate, cant remember where but i think that he is by some tents near a big inn

He will approach you in the central part of the Buldur's Gate. To obtain the antidote, you need to the quest he gives you.

I think it's timed, as well. If you don't finish the quest before a certain period...hold on a sec.

Okay, spoiler...

Here's the info that I wrote down when I played it. You're told by Lothander you were poisoned. If you help him remove a geas, he'll help you with your poison. (He's in the northeast, somewhere. I'm not great at taking notes.) This involves talking to a Diviner, then the High Priestess at the Temple of Umberlee. She wants a book of wisdom from the Temple of Tymora. Take the book back to Umberlee; the Priestess gives you the scroll, which you should bring to Lothander.

He gives you half the antidote. The seond half is with Marek, at the Blushing Mermaid Inn, on the second floor. You'll have to fight him for it.

Note, you don't have to give the book to the High Priestess, if you tell her you don't trust her, and she gives you the scroll, first. Of course, she'll attack, but there are no reputation penalties, and the book raises wisdom by 1. I used that on my second run-through. :D

Hope that helps.

You have a ten-day to remove the poison.
