Anything to do with these items other than sell'em (well, I am keeping the butterknife, Sarevok should be trembling with this artifact in my possession).
Hate lugging around stuff that has no purpose, but then I also hate missing quests because I chucked something I thought was useless.

The Tome IIRC has not significans for the game.
The butterknife IIRC are made of gold and can therefor hit thoese wolfweres and werewolfs, but is not a great weapon, so that has little meaning to

Could be, I'll hold on to them when I export. I don't really need cash at this point.
And the butterknife cannot be wielded, your thinking of either the werebane dagger or Balduran's sword. The dagger is made of silver though (the sword is gold though).

Oh yeah - it was the sword I thought of

*dough* - been awile since I've played BG1.
Okay then - I didn't find any use for them.
And remember, just because something seems like it might not be used, doesn't mean that it actually has to be used.

Sell 'em. I have been unable to find it buit there must be a store where the guy is looking for those items and will pay you more.
You're right though, at that stage in the game you hardly need the cash.

I had the same thought, but couldn't find anything - looked at the museum etc. - found nada

maybe it was part of a broken quest, or was ment to be made into a quest?

Yeah, my first thought was the museum. But they worship Gond and want various clever types of inventions, not historical artifacts. Guess I could try someone in the merchants league, but they are all scum. Probably isn't for anything special anyways. The book is worth alot as part of the reward for going there (since you come away with bloody little of any actual value). And the butterknife is of course a joke (we got everything else of Balduran's, and I'm convinced even the pantaloons are his too).
