Sanchuudoku, or the "Acid Katana". Where do you get it!? **Bit of a spoiler?**

I read a post earlier about the "acid katana", or as I've found out the name, as I've been trying to find out where to get it, the Sanchuudoku. Apparently you have to fight some guy which will make you really angry, and blah blah.
All I wanna know is...
Where do you go to get this weapon?

I think that the Acid katana wielding guy (and his katana obviously...) is part of some mod. I have no idea which one, probably one of those that makes the game harder.
*Edit* Just checked the balanced-mod thread. The acid katana kensai is part of the Tactics mod. If you want the sword you have to install the mod. */edit*

Yeps, it is an excellent weapon, but a bit hard to get and Tactics is, IMO cheesy. With the state of modding back when it was created Weimer had to make it so to provide more of a challenge. I prefer SCS II and I am almost certain that while setting that up you get the option to include Kuriosan the Acid Kensai.

Well...
This is annoying...
I can't find Kuirosan or whatever his name is.
I went to the temple, since it said in the readme, "You must be carrying the Celestial Fury", and because i read on the forums that some people went there to fight him.
But no luck.
I heard that he also appears in different places...
I slept outside Watchers Keep, Windspear Hills, but still, no luck.
So, bit of help would be nice. I really want that katana.
And I did install him. It says Kuriosan in the tactics folder.

If you have CF it usually does not take long before he turns up- usually at inopportune moments where you are low on spells and wounded after a hard battle. And usually as you enter a new urban map, I even had him turn up at Trademeet once.
If he still does not, you may have a bug, have you used SK to check whether it is even in the game? If it is not, neither is he.

This.
But i believe that Wes may have added a minimum level requirement for this fight.

I suspect that as well, but am not certain. He may have reasoned that if you can deal with the Guarded Compound party, you can deal with Kuriosan as well. I dunno, but I have had the same suspicion as Longshot do.

Hmm.. Come to think of it, i recall having a problem like this too.
Kuroisan spawns (invisible) either when you sleep or when you enter a zone. But he does not have to spawn next to you, he just waits in a certain spot on the map, till you get to his visual range, and then turns visible.
Most of the time i encountered him in Athkatla, never inside a building, always outside. The most fights i had with him were in North-western part of Gov District and in Slums (in front of Copper Coronet). By most fights i mean 95% of them.
To be quite honest i can't recall meeting him outside of Athkatla, but this may be just bad memory.

Well, what if he's already spawned in a place that I slept near by?
I might not find him.
Ah well, I'll just keep looking. Thanks for the heads up.

Aye, you have to search, pop haste spell to speed it up. Spread to speed it up further.

When everybody is hastened, you can simply run away. He isn't slower, but he ain't faster either.
Edit : And yes it is

Maybe to you, but the last couple of games it has not been so for me. mainly because a bug caused all Breach cast in public places to hit everyone on map and turn them all hostile...
Without Breach, he is a pain to face IMO. Or rather, a worse pain than usual.

What? A map wide breach!? How in the world did you manage to bug the game in a POSITIVE way?

It must have been one of my old mods from my old modlist. Dunno how. I know it was damn annoying with all the civilians turning against you...

What do you mean? Turning them all hostile at once would save me a lot of clicking! :mischief:

Mother f***ing Kuroisan...
I want to kick him in the nuts, and stab him in the eye, but the game doesn't allow that.
Yes, that means I've found him, and I'm pissed off. He's annoying as hell.
By the way... He vanished, and I saved my game about 1 minute before he vanishes. If I reinstall the mod, will he come back?

No need, he will come back at some other inconvenient time. Everytime he is loosing he will say "uh-Oh, this is not a good day", then run off to heal and come back for you. That is part of why he is so annoying. I started wandering around with no other aim than finding him, pinning him down and killing him for good once.
Longshot has a guide to how you beat him. I have had successes with some way of holding, slowing or entangling him and also by surrounding him with meleers pounding him to bits- just remember the acid damage you take, but I was desperate because he had slipped away too many times and my Tanks could sustain a lot of damage, and had potions and spells enough.
