Quite an odd glitch....

So for some weird reason when I enter the Twin Suns battle with Atton, they decide not to attack me...but instead one another..wtf??? I can attack only one of them, the other is considered non hostile. and after the one dies, i cannot do anything..cannot continue the game. Im just stuck there...why is this happening?

Yes it's patched. Just the basic patch. Dunno any specifics on it.

the patch might be the problem. for I have not installed any patches for my game and that does not happen.

That doesn't quite rule it out.
That particular sequence has always been a bit buggy. Not much advise to give there other than to revert to an earlier save and see if it fixes things. Otherwise you might want to try one of the restoration patches. They rewrite and restore sequences like this one, I believe. I think the one at Deadly Stream Forums is the only one available right now:

The lookout is a bit bleak. Either way, installing a patch means you have to restart your game.

Unfortunately Deadly Stream has been down this week (they really should switch their hosting, as this seems to happen once every few months).
KotOR2 has always been a bit buggy to say the least. I've never encountered that particularly despite having patched and modded the game like crazy.
Reverting to an early save is often the best solution, but it usually has to be far enough back that the module has not loaded yet. It's odd, though, since the game specifically loads the Nar Shaddaa entertainment module for Atton's fight with the Twin Suns.
Have you used cheats or used KSE to up stats? Very high stats do seem to cause troubles on occasion.

I got past it finally. Tried like five times. Each time it wouldn't let me fight the second of the two. No cheats on this file, but it is patched which could have been the issue. Reverted to an older save and tried a few times and it worked out. The only problem I ever consistently have is KOTOR 1 & 2 both like to crash to my desktop with no error messages and leave me with and least 2gb of crash reports, so far the most has been 6gb.
