What was this game called..

As the title says, i'm looking for a name of the game i'm about to describe.

It was an animated game about planning robbery. First stage was the "plan" section, where your minion gets orders, and executes a simulation of what will happen. Once you're ready you can launch the actual mission where you're just an observer.

You could buy / hire better cars to be able to loot more. You could hire right hands, to steal faster and more (i believe that there was a time limit also) but they had to receive a share in order to cooperate. You also had a bunch of tools to open, disarm and disable stuff.

The first mission was : robbing a gas station, with just a feeble old guard patrolling in front of it, and checking if the doors are locked every now and then. You arrived in a small, yellow beetle VW.

umm.. Yeah.. Any clues what was it called?

Sounds interesting. A quick search didn't turn anything up but did see a review for a game called HEI$T (and yes, they use a dollar symbol in the name). Here's the review for it: Preview: HEI$T - ComputerAndVideoGames.com

Sadly no, its not it. It had no violence nor blood at all. Once anything spotted any of your men mission failed. Also you watched everything from a camera way above, so you could see the entire map.

It was even more cartoonish. Heads slightly too big for the bodies etc.

Edit : Remember the series about Nightmare Neighbour? It was in the same climate, just bigger, and about stealing stuff. A low-budget production that probably was skipped by many reviewers. I'm also unsure how old it is, but it surely isnt younger than 6 years.

What kind of computer ran this? 468? Pentium? How old do you think it is?

6 to 12 years. I played it ~6-8 years ago.

Hmm.. I now recall that each guard / camera etc had a visible line of sight too.

Sounds like one of those ones you might want to scan through 'Home of the Underdogs' for, it's full of games reviewers didn't care about.

Its a damn shame about it, because i've spent lots of time playing it, and i enjoyed it more than thief series :)

Constructor's been available on GOG.com for about 3-4 months $5.99, as well as other games by the same developer.
