Hey guys,

here's a question for those of who have already completed the game. How hardcore do you have to push renegade/paragon points to be maxed out in either one of them by the end of the game?

I'm asking this because more often than not I'd prefer the neutral approach, but end up going choosing the renegade option to get more points instead.

Not sure about the numbers, but there were only 2 persuade/intimidate choices (well 2 pairs anyways, so 4 selections) that were grayed out to me during my first playthrough. With that said, I was pretty balanced in my paragon/renegade choices throughout the game, because sometimes I just wanted to hear Shepherd say some of the ridiculous lines that I could pick from. The 2 dialogues containing the grayed out choices were both involving loyalty missions, but only 1 of the 2 made any real difference to the outcome when I played it again.

If you want to make sure you can get all of the dialogues, make sure to put talents into your class's passive talent so you get the p/r multiplier.

Yup, I maxed that out as soon as possible, chose Assassin instead of Operative though, so only 70% more points.

FYI, the Paragon/Renegade skill checks are scaled to your level and importing a ME 1 character over can give a useful head start of 190 Paragon or Renegade points, depending on that character's finishing scores.

I know, I know, thx ;) The thing is, I went full Paragon in ME1 and Renegade in ME2, so the points aren't really of much use to me.

If you don't mind outright cheating, you could always use a save game editor or edit the coalesced.ini to modify your Paragon or Renegade scores. I did so for my second and third playthrough and have no regrets. Some of the P/R speech options are downright hilarious. :p

I do mind cheating actually, so that's not an option. After this thread I basically went at least 75% renegade, but there are some occasions where the renegade solution just seems plain silly to me.
Spoiler
Like the thing with the Asari on Illium and her Krogan poet boyfriend. The way she talks about him, etc. it's pretty obvious she should not break up with him. But then again it's 5 renegade points if you convince her to do just that...
Thus I'm worried about getting enough renegade points to resolve the loyalty issues later.

If anybody who finished the game with a lot of mixed paragon, renegade and neutral choices could give me the exact morality scores he ended up with I would greatly appreciate it.
