(Just another) I start anew, need advice

Long time ago, I god bored about being good in BG 1 chapter 5 and started as an evil fighter. I easily beat the game and prepared for a complete BG saga run-through. Few days after completing the first game I bought a new laptop and installed BG 2 on it, planning to transfer my character and enter the fray.

But then a disaster stroke as my PC broke down and thwarted my plans. Determined to create a champion and bring him all the way to ToB finale I installed BG 1 on my laptop and started from scratch. With a paladin.

2 years have passed since the world last heard from my LE Fighter. Now, having miraculously survived somewhere on the hard disk, she plans to make her grand return, kick some ass and spread tyranny over de'Arnisse's lands (and ever further).

I like to roleplay a bit, but playing as a plain fighter is a little boring. Thus, I need your advice on how to make my game more interesting. Unfortunately, it seems that my character wasn't designed for dual classing:

Str 19
Dex 18
Con 19
Int 9
Wis 10
Cha 12

Obviously, it seems that her only path is dualling to a thief kit at some point, or remaining a plain ole fighter till the very end
Spoiler
like her big brother.
Because of her alignment, she can not become a berserker and being a kensai contradicts with my idea of what she should look like. I also have doubts abot taking thief levels, since Yan seems to be sufficient in this role.

So, my questions are: basically, do you think dualling will make the game more interesting for me and if yes, what kit should I choose, and secondly, are there some quests in particular that reward you for being evil (well, except for the Hell test, I know about them already)? Don't be afraid to use spoiler's, I've already beaten the game twice.

It's a while since I've looked at dual classing since I usually go the multi route.. ;) But, if you want to free up your options a bit, you could always download Shadow Keeper and adjust your stats so that you'll be able to pick up a career as a cleric or mage.

My suggestion would be to put points into Wisdom and dual into a cleric... Fighter- Clerics can be very powerful, and the various spells at your disposal certainly add more spice to your play.
I don't think you can dual into kits legally, but you may be able to do so with Shadow Keeper. If that's the case, a Cleric of Talos might work well.

True - legally you can only select a kit for your first class, then dual into a generic Fighter/Mage/Thief/Cleric. You can use SK to dual into a kit, but your first class HAS to be a generic class, it can't be a kit. The game engine only allows you to have one kit-type selected.

E.g. when you start off as a kit, say a Cleric of Talos, what that looks like the the game is Class = Cleric, Kit = Priest of Talos. A generic Cleric would look like Class = Cleric, Kit = None (or maybe it's "trueclass"). When you dual a human legally, it looks like this - Class = 1stClass/SecondClass, Kit = whatever you had for your first class. If you change the Kit, it will change and there's no mechanism to add a second Kit that the game would recognize.
