Hey guys,

in preparation for the sequel I recently started a new game of the Witcher. Currently I'm at the point where I have to decide how to react to the elves trying to get their supplies from Haren Brogg. However, I have some serious trouble deciding what to do here.

The problem is, I don't like either of the choices. It's either kill the elves or "sell" them the goods although I don't like their attitude/behaviour. For all I know they could be lying too.

What I'd rather do is tell them to come with me and just TALK to Haren who lives 20(TWENTY!!) meters away from the spot where I meet the elves. That would clarify the situation and I wouldn't have to make a "blind" decision.

Now to give this thread a purpose. How do you guys react in situations like this? What did you do in this particular case and and why?

I for one, killed the elves. And in situations like these, I just do what feels "right" and/or tend to choose the lesser evil. In case you don't know what happens when you let the elves take the armaments :

Coleman, an npc in Chapter II gets killed by the elves, which from lore perspective goes bad for Geralt because Coleman is a mole in the slums investigating Salamandra under Vincent, the captain of the guards.

I let them have the goods the first time. Brogg was a crook himself, so I felt no loyalty in guarding his goods from elves. My job was to kill drowners.

Ever since then, though, I slay the elves, because letting them go can shut down later quest lines in Chapter II.

If I was Geralt, I would tell those elves to go eat drowners. :laugh:

To be on topic, I would ask them to wait till the next day and when morning comes, go talk to Haren about what transpired. Should he ask you to tell them to go eat dirt, then you can either threaten him or go tell the elves his response and let them deal with him as they see fit.

But to be honest, no matter if these choices are one shade of grey or another or just plain black or white, it's still a multiple choice point A, B, C or D. Each with their own set of consequences. Right from the script.

I've always killed the Elves. I don't like them at all. But, as Dr.Dr3aM said, it's usually best to go with what feels right. Besides, it's your choice: not ours. Don't let us tell you what to do! (seriously, kill them.)
