So i have a question about the magic.

I am a level 5 Wizard, Moon Elf and I have joined the wizard school: Generel. I thought with this class I would be able to cast any spells that I selected that go in hand with my level. But I am only able to cast: Burning handsm identify, summon familiar, daze, acid splash and flare.
I cant cast:magic missile, shield, mage armour, melf's acid arrow, fireburst, fireball, haste etc. these ones all have a 0 on the bottom so they wont let me cast them.

What am i doing wrong?
what do i need to be doing to be able to cast these other spells?

You need to prepare them in your spellbook. Then you need to rest, so they will be memorized. After that you can cast them until they run out.

If those spells aren't in your spell book yet you need to buy a scroll. Also you get 2 new spells in the book when you level.
