The toughest solo ever played

:D Hi to everyone. I´ve just registered to this site, because none of my friends want to talk about the coolest game on earth. I told myself, there´s still some people out there who play baldurs gate. So here I am...

I have a question, somebody could help me. I want to go solo through Baldurs Gate Trilogy mod + The Darkest Day + Shadows over Soubar + Check the bodies + some unidentified questpack (hopefully it´ll work) and my question is:
What is the most impossible class to solo through the game?
It can be a kit, it can be multi/dual class, but i´m up to the worst challenge in my BG history ever.

I was thinking about a Bard...could that be?:mischief:

Hi and welcome to the forums, middle-european brother!

A bard will probably be one of the easier classes to solo with. Our tactics specialists here will gladly provide you with more detailed information, but it boils down to this : bards are versatile. They have many options to choose from.

Speaking from personal experience, I found evil wizard slayer to be hardest when it came to soloing. I wanted to dualclass her to thief, but not before getting some WS levels, and it was really hard. She was evil, so didn't even have bhaalspawn's cure light wounds, and could only use magical weapons and armour, so no ring of regeneration for you, baby. Healing was a real pain, because even with Adjatha longsword, her magic resistance sometimes prevented its life drain. Not to mention all those times she had to use some other weapon, a weapon she was not proficient with, simply for protection reasons. Man, it really wasn't easy.

Thanks for your answer and a nice welcome :)

I don´t know...I thought that bard would be a challenge, but you´re right. He can cast spells, as HLA he has the UAI ability.

Bad thing is I never played an evil character before, I always want to help those poor people with their problems and save everyone. But it´s probably a time to change that. An evil character...maybe me, Sarevok and Irenicus can be a happy family after all...nooooo...If I´m evil, they´re going to suffer :D

I hope it can be considered soloing if I want to pick up characters to solve their quests and then leave them after that.

A couple of days ago I started to play as kensai to dual to mage, but as soon as I come home i´ll look into character creation at the classes.

Hardest class to solo with would be Wizard Slayer. While vanilla is quite easily doable with everything, toss in some tactical mods (non-cheesy recommended), add chapter-xp-capp as cherry on top and you're in for a ride.

Ofcourse i assume that you mean no-cheese playthrough.

Play as a bard with the Jester kit... for soloing - it really really sucks!

And hobble yourself by having average intelligence and low charisma!

While a WS is extremely hard to solo, a Beast Master or a Transmuter are also very hard. I wouldn't recommend soloing a tactical mod with a WS, since that is quite a feat for even the most powerful class combinations. I had quite a lot of trouble soloing a WS through Ascension.
