Problem with BG2 after power failure.

Hello,
I was recently about 10 hours into a game of BG2 when I was in a particular map (Bodhi's Lair level 1) and my house suffered a power failure. I reloaded BG2 once I had power to find that the auto-save placed only moments prior (BG2 autosaves into and out of Bodhi's lair level 1) was corrupted. I loaded an earlier save and found that I was unable to enter the Bodhi's lair level, the game simply crashes.
So... am I basically screwed, is the map corrupted? Will I have to reinstall the game and all my mods?
I'd be happy to provide any specifics anyone asks for.

Hm. It is possible that the data you were loading from the disk at that very moment was damaged. Modern hard drives are protected from such things, but I say there's always a chance.
Do you know how to scan the surface of your disc for damaged sectors? You'll need to run Scandisk in Windows. Right click on the affected drive and click on properties. Depending on your version of Windows the tab or option in the following window will be named differently. Either it is there as 'scandisk' or 'error control' or checker or something else along those lines.
Scandisk will both find and repair these damages. Afterward, I'd try running it again. The chance that approach will work is actually pretty small, so if that doesn't do anything I would start by re-copying related files from the disc directly into your game directory. Not everything, just files you suspect may have been involved.
Edit: If it's not so easy to access those files, try making a secondary installation of the game somewhere else, then copy those files. Considering Weidu, program shortcuts and the Windows Registry, it might be a good idea not to make this 2nd installation on the same computer.

Before doing anything, try to access that particular area via the CLUA Console. This might save you a lot of trouble.

I also posted this on the GOG forums and they told me to delete the contents of the Baldurs Gate II\cache and Baldurs Gate II\temp folder and it fixed the issue.
Majorman, before I posted the question and I tried loading the map from the console and I got the same issue. Probably should have mentioned that... No matter, it's working now, and I don't need to re-install a gozillion mods.
Thanks for your help, guys.
