Willpower important to melee?

DW uses a lot of stamina.

Not important enough that I'd sacrifice any of the primary stats for it.

If you want to use all the DW skills and abilities, they will stay available longer with higher willpower - use rings and other goodies rather than sacrifice basic stats. Your DW will be even more impressive if you make him a beserker (beserk+momentum really increases the damage rate).
