Useless Henchmen

Currently playing HOTU and Nathyra has become utterly useless.

Nothing will get her to carry out any of the commands I issue, whether to follow, to attack nearest or what have you. She also has become prone to cast spells when not needed, often after all foes have been defeated.

Have any of you encountered something like this before? I would really like to know as I'll be facing Vix'thra very soon and expect to have great difficulty without effectively having only one henchman.

So no one has encountered this problem before or no one has any idea how to fix a potentially disastrous glitch in the game?

I must admit that it's been way too long since I've played NwN - but I do not recall having encountered such an issue.

If I recall correctly (it is a long time ago, so I might be wrong) - there were ways to enable/disable AI?
Have you checked it isn't something as simple as that?

Otherwise it does sound like a bug.
You have tried reloading earlier games to see if it happens there as well?

Did not have the problem in Chapter 1 at all and am not sure when it started with Nathyra and Valen, especially Nathyra, just that when I was facing the first major boss encounter I suddenly noticed one of henchmen was busy day dreaming during the battle. Not sure how to enable/disable the AI but I've seen that most commands done by right clicking are ignore but the follow command is accepted...to the point that she follows me around the battle and does nothing else.

Just to rule it out; have you installed any overrides?

What are overrides? I'm guessing you don't mean the patches.

Custom mods which usually needs files located in the overrides folder. My guess from your reply ... no :)

Do you have (older) saves in which she is still properly active? If so, it's probably nothing nwn-wide, such as overrides, and contimnuing from that save is probably the least troublesome 'fix'.

I suppose modules that have use the toolset to create an installer could maybe also install things in override

Well, I just beat Mephistophawhatsisname so I'll live with the problem for now but thanks to Xandax and Malaksbane for trying to help old tech illiterate out!
