He vanishes every time I summon him before I can ask questions or do any business with him, probably due to the circle of...something going around my PC.

I cannot cause the spell circle to go away by keeping the henchmen at the far side of the room nor dropping any/all of my equipped gear nor waiting for all spells(little green tabs) to wear off.

Any advice?

Update: It's the magic circle of protection that is the problem but I can't seem to bring it down by leaving the area, casting dispel magic, sleeping multiple periods, etc.

I recommend to go somewhere where cutscene will be fired so that its script will clear all actions your character have. Maybe that will work.

Except that if I return to the previous area the circle comes back...weird.
